Levitra Improves Premature Ejaculation
Many men are one-minute wonders who leave women flat and unsatisfied. Premature ejaculation (PE) is the most common sexual problem. It causes severe emotional distress that decreases self-esteem and the possibility of success and happiness of relationships. Men feel sexually inadequate and less masculine. Women feel let down and often use it as an excuse to end relationships before they have a chance to blossom.
Levitra, a popular erection-promoting drug, might be a solution to this problem. Italian scientists found that 42 men (18-35 years) who took Levitra (10 mg) before sex during a 16-week study improved ejaculation time during vaginal intercourse from 0.6 minutes to 4.5 minutes. The drug worked best in men who had sex more frequently (and consequently took more Levitra).
Animal studies showed that Levitra might be more effective than Viagra or Cialis for preventing PE because of its greater effect on calcium metabolism— an important factor in the speed of ejaculation. (International Journal Impotence Research, 21: 221-227, 2009)
