Carnivor Is World's #1 Selling Beef Protein

Beef Powers the Strongest Athletes – From Ancient Greece to the IFBB

For centuries, beef has powered athletes and enabled them to reach heights of physical achievement beyond those of mortal men. Beef’s impact on elite performance was evident in Ancient Greece. Milos of Croton— one of the most famed athletes in Greek history— was immortalized for tales of indomitable strength, power and athletic prowess. Milos, a six-time Olympic victor in wrestling, was known for a Herculean grip that would result in instant defeat once applied to his helpless opponents. Fueling Milos’ performance was an unprecedented appetite that included consuming 20 pounds of meat daily— he was even reported to have consumed an entire bull in one sitting!

Beef’s key role in reaching one’s physical potential was first apparent in the early foundations of bodybuilding and weightlifting, and continues to this day with IFBB pro Nathan De asha. Nathan— who scored back-to-back wins at the New York Pro and the California Pro this past spring and will be a strong contender this fall at the 2018 Mr. Olympia— incorporates Carnivor Beef Protein Isolate into his nutritional program for maximum size. Like Milos of Croton, Nathan has harnessed the power of beef to add to his own beef. “Carnivor Beef Protein Isolate is an important part of my mass-building plan, no doubt about it,” Nathan said.

Clinically Backed Beef Protein Isolate

Nathan De asha and Milos of Croton are two examples of intelligent, performance-driven athletes on top of their game and way ahead of their time. So which protein should you choose, beef or whey? History sides with beef— and the science agrees.

Gabriel Wilson has a Ph.D. in nutritional sciences, multiple degrees in kinesiology, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Wilson pointed to a recent clinical study published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research (Sharp et al., 2017). “The study showed that hard-training male and female athletes exercising five days weekly over eight weeks while taking 46 grams of beef protein isolate (BPI) daily gained an average of 4.6 pounds of lean muscle mass— more than double the amount of the placebo control group. Subjects taking BPI also increased deadlift strength by 90 pounds and bench press strength by 40 pounds from baseline. Finally, there were no symptoms of stomach distress with daily BPI supplementation, and no changes in health or blood parameters.

“This study also examined the benefits of whey protein, and found that the muscle-building power of beef was unsurpassed by whey, Wilson continued. “Consistent with these results, a muscle cell culture trial demonstrated that beef supports superior mTOR activation relative to whey protein— a key molecular signal that increases muscle protein synthesis (Detzel et al. 2015, ISSN Poster). Altogether, these results powerfully demonstrate that beef is a powerful nutrient that can be used to spur muscle growth and anabolism in athletes.”

Superior Purity and Potency to Whey

Not all protein supplements are formulated to optimal standards of purity. When you buy a protein supplement, you might think you are getting good, clean protein, but that’s not always the case. Typical whey protein powders are only 70 to 80 percent protein content. The other 20 to 30 percent of whey protein may consist of fats, carbs and sugars as well as significant amounts of cholesterol and lactose— which bodybuilders need like a hole in the head.

As Wilson points out, “Beef protein isolate, on the other hand, is an astonishing 99 percent protein, so you’re going to get more bang for your buck with beef protein isolate than any type of whey. Second, relative to whey and dairy protein, beef is hypoallergenic. Many, when they have a scoop of whey, can expect to have at least a little ‘gastric distress’ in an hour or two, in large part because of the natural dairy and lactose. It’s also possible for dairy to cause nasal stuffiness and gut irritation. This may not apply to everyone, but high consumption of dairy proteins can slowly make individuals more sensitive.”

While these side effects might be minor, they are easily avoided. With Carnivor Beef Protein Isolate, they can be avoided without compromising your gains.

Thought Red Meat Was Bad For You?

Some bodybuilders have a beef with beef, as high intakes of red meat are associated with increased cardiovascular risk. This is largely attributed to the high amounts of fat and cholesterol typically contained in beef. Red meat is also slow digesting and “heavy” on the stomach. This makes steak a poor choice as a pre-or post-workout meal, so most athletes eat their meat for dinner. Beef is also more of a hassle to prepare, taking more time to create a delicious, nourishing meal. The researchers at MuscleMeds have solved this beef dilemma by using beef protein isolate (BPI) in Carnivor supplements. This allows athletes to get the anabolic benefits of beef protein in a delicious, fast-digesting and convenient protein shake— without the excess amounts of fat and cholesterol. So with Carnivor, you really can have your beef and eat it too!

Carnivor Is More Than Beef

Beef has more to offer than power and purity that is superior to whey. In addition to containing 23 grams of pure beef protein and being 350 percent more concentrated (pure) in amino acids than steak, Carnivor also has a unique Anabolic Nitrogen Retention Technology (ANRT), including alpha-ketoglutarate, ketoisocaproate and glutamine AKG. As Wilson explains, “This ANRT technology helps lower protein breakdown for faster recovery plus reduces acids in the body through nitrogen recycling. Carnivor also has a whopping 20 times more creatine than whole beef food sources, as well as added branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs).”

Beef Protein Has Stood the Test of Time

From Ancient Greece to today’s top IFBB pros like Nathan De asha, no protein has stood the test of time like beef for unlocking peak performance and growth potential of champion athletes. Contemporary athletes benefit from the development of fast-digesting BPI supplements, which are more scientifically advanced than wolfing down an entire bull in one sitting. Because Carnivor is pure and free of fat and cholesterol, this beef protein isolate also offers a healthy and anabolic alternative to red meat. Furthermore, because BPI is rapidly digested, these supplements can be used to build muscle at any time of day— pre- or post-workout, at breakfast or even at bedtime.

Beef – the Superior Protein Alternative to Whey

• Beef Protein Isolate was shown in a clinical study to be as effective as whey protein for promoting lean muscle and strength.

• More concentrated in amino acids than whey.

• Hydrolyzed for fast absorption, so muscle growth is fueled quickly.

• Beef Protein Isolate is lactose free, so it’s ideal for people who are lactose intolerant or can’t digest whey protein well. Many people cannot digest whey well. Not a problem with Beef Protein Isolate.

• Great taste. Recent advancements in the manufacturing of Beef Protein Isolate have made huge improvements in taste and mixability.

Bottom line: Not only is beef protein nutritionally superior to whey, it also makes for a great-tasting protein shake.

Holy Cow! So Many Beef Choices
