What is Synthol and what brand is best?

For those of you who don’t know, synthol is a “sterile” oil used to augment lagging body parts by direct injection of the oil into the “weak” muscle group. Sterility is the most important factor to consider whenever you attempt to inject any foreign substance into your body. Chris Clark, the inventor and main supplier of “Synthosize Hp Pump N Pose,” uses a specific methodology to bottle his product so no bacteria are present. Nor can any grow while “on the shelf” waiting to be used. Never have I seen or heard of an infection with the use of Mr. Clark’s product. Mr. Clark is also the only producer of synthol that places lot numbers on his product’s bottles so they may be tracked if need be. It carries a price tag of just under $300.

There are several other brands of synthol on the market. Ace Battle Supplies has a product called “Muscle Sheen,” which is the company’s own unique blend of oils that it claims is extremely sterile. The price-tag is under $150.  Another company, Biohazard, has a product called “Capristan” that it claims contains a sterile blend of oils. However, this product also contains actual silicone particles the company says will eventually get encapsulated within the muscle fibers and thus cause a permanent increase in size. If you ask me, the last thing I’m looking for is an added inch of silicone in my arm.    Other than Capristan, all the other previously mentioned synthol versions have a blend of oils that will ultimately dissipate, as would any ingested dietary fat.As a matter of fact, I personally know of one “questionably insane” bodybuilder who had straight silicon injected into his arm (in an attempt to get instant size) and, to his surprise, he had an allergic reaction and almost died. (He never even did a sensitivity test). To make a long story short, the kid had to find a special surgeon who was able to remove the mass of silicone without excising his whole biceps muscle.

All the “me-too” independent brands of synthol in the marketplace, especially the really cheap ones that cost under $100, are usually “basement brews” that are unsterile and /or the wrong type of oil to be injecting into a muscle. The last thing that you, as a competitive bodybuilder, need prior to a big competition is to get a bacterial abscess that requires drainage and excision and, ultimately, leaves a nasty scar. Message: You get what you pay for!

What’s the deal with mixing bacterostatic water, as opposed to sterile water, with the Serostim Growth Hormone kits?  Do you really need the bacteriostatic water to increase the shelf life of the vials (to four days) or is the water it comes with just as good?I say stick with the water they give you. Obviously, they have assayed the use of the Serostim GH with various waters and found that sterile water works most effectively. The amount of bacteria that can grow in a few days is negligible, assuming your immune system is intact (obviously AIDS patients should be concerned).  The manufacturer, Serona, has a use-patent for GH that is exclusive for “immunocompromised AIDS patients.” This is why the enclosed pamphlet recommends using each reconstituted vial within 24 hours.  However, normal people can take up to six days to use each bottle with no ill effects or loss of potency. Think about it, would it really cost that much more to include bacteriostatic water with the Serostim GH? Of course not! Use the included water.  I am a 23-year-old, 125-pound female.  My body-fat is unknown and I have a medium build. I am interested in getting huge. I have been cycling steroids for a month and then the gains came to an unexpected end. What do I do? Since you did not tell me what, exactly, you were taking, it’s hard for me to give you advice. My best advice is that if you are going to use anabolic steroids (as a woman), stick to the purely anabolic compounds like anavar (5-10 milligrams per day), winstrol  (eight to 12 milligrams per day), and primobolin (50 milligrams per week). If you start to get masculinizing side effects, a four-week course of Aldactone should help neutralize these problems. Yes, aldactone is a diuretic; however, aldactone becomes a good anti-androgen if taken for more than nine days straight.

I heard that if you take an anti-estrogen such as Proviron or Nolvadex during a cycle, it will stop your gains. Is this true? If so, do you recommend any product that won’t do this? I know some people take clomid at 50 milligrams every other day to help combat the estrogen problem. I’ve also heard of a product called Arimidex. Does either product hinder your gains if taken during a cycle?

I do not like Nolvadex (tamoxifen citrate) as an anti-estrogen for men.  First off, like Proviron, it only blocks the estrogen receptor (it does not inhibit the formation of estrogen). Secondly, Nolvadex blocks the release of the protein hormone IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor-1) from the liver, which ultimately will retard further muscle growth. In people taking synthetic Growth Hormone, Nolvadex will essentially neutralize the size-promoting effects of the GH.On the other hand, Arimidex is a relatively new drug to hit the market. Its sole purpose is to seek out and neutralize the enzyme (aromatase) that promotes the conversion of the hormone testosterone into estrogen, thus, eliminating the possibility of estrogen’s presence at all. Additionally, if less testosterone aromatizes into estrogen, more testosterone is present to build and repair muscle.  In pre-menopausal women, whose estrogen is being synthesized by their ovaries, the only successful way to block the effects of estrogen would be to take a compound like Nolvadex or Proviron (which will, ultimately, inhibit the estrogen receptor, thus preventing the ovarian-produced estrogen from attaching to its target).
