winners_06bs  Hallloween weekend kicked off at the Border States in Aneheim California with a huge crowd and awesome competitors.  Leading the way with straight firsts in the lightheavyweight class was 2004 Hungarian champion Steve Namat looking like a future pro.  He not only dominated the tough Lightheavyweight class but took straight firsts to win the overall as well.  Steve is one huge guy who at 23 years old has youth on his side.  He defenitly is a guy to watch out for in the near future.
Making a return to NPC competition for the first time since 1999 is phenomenal lightweight Danny Hester.  He looked like his old self,  in great shape and easily taking his class.  Danny is a possible competitor at this years NPC Nationals.
Local competitor Keisuke Yoshida took the middleweight class.   I cant say enough about this guy.   He has done just about every local NPC show for the past two years.  His lowest placing to date is third.  But not this time, Keisuke took first in a tough middleweight class.  Keisuke is consistant and always prepared to battle with the best in his class.  He deserved the win!
Lional Brown was the featured guest poser, looking huge and ready for a win at nationals this year.  The border states lived up to its reputation as being one of the most prestigious national qualifiers of the year.  There were many loyal competitors with friends and family making a great show!   To all competitors, Great job!
