2013 NPC Teen, Collegiate, and Masters Results

The 2013 NPC Teen, Collegiate, and 13masters-results-writtenMasters Nationals have come and gone, and many new IFBB Pro Cards have been awarded. But it's not all bout the pro card.

Ask many of the guys there, and they'll tell you it's about being your best at any age. One gentleman could be overheard saying he had placed top five in his class for the past nine years, and just wants to keep improving on his physique. Not a bad goal for a gentleman in his sixties!

13masters-troyOf course, there were pro cards deserved and given - Troy Tate being the big winner of the evening by taking the Heavyweight Class and Overall titles in the Over 35 Division. Joe DeRousie and Pete Ciccone also took home IFBB Pro Cards in the Over 35 Division.

Mike Yablon, Dan Hawtin, and Michael Ely took home IFBB Pro Cards in the Over 40 Division. Mike's incredible condition led him to the Overall Title for that division. He wasn't the biggest guy in the division, but no doubt he was in the best condition.

Many more IFBB Pro cards were awarded, and you can see those by using the links below to see complete placings and results. However, the night did not just belong to the Masters Competitors! There was also a Battle Royale brewing in the Teen Division, and all eyes were on Cody Montgomery to see if he could retain his title from last year. The moment he stepped onto the stage, the answer was clear, easy, and obvious. He brought a package of size and condition that you just don't see many teens able to achieve.

Newcomer Tyler Cohen had been working his way through shows on the East Coast and doing quite well. On paper, he seemed Cody's biggest threat. When they stood side-by-side, it was easy to see Cody had the upper hand.

Time will tell when we see all the new pros make their debut. One thing you can be sure of, Muscular Development will be there to cover it!
