Team MD Welcomes Calum Von Moger

The Next Big Thing

calvon1Muscular Development is proud to welcome amateur athlete Calum Von Moger to Team MD. Calum joins the ranks of an impressive list of athletes such as Jay Cutler, Evan Centopani, and Victor Martinez. While not a pro yet, Calum is already making waves in the industry with the popularity of his videos on YouTube. Team MD will be following Calum throughout 2014 as the 22 year old sets out on a journey to figure out his destiny – acting, fitness modeling, or a career in bodybuilding?

MD Senior Editor, Peter McGough, who has witnessed the emergence of many a name bodybuilder, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, comments, “Is it possible for a 23 year old bodybuilding immigrant who stands 6’2” with an unusual name, sports a magnetic personality, mighty biceps, powerful pecs, a sweeping t-taper, a mesomorphic jaw and bone structure, who preaches quality over quantity, and who comes from a country whose first three letters are AUS (okay, that’s one’s a stretch) which accounts for his funny accent (to you Yanks), to go mainstream and fulfill a 21st Century American dream? Somewhere a bell is ringing that it’s happened before. This kid has the drive to be a Wonder from Down Under.””

calvon2Calum spent the last few weeks in the states for a number of photos shoots with MD, as well as an audition for the WWE and a Hollywood movie. You’ll be meeting Calum online at www.musculardevelopment.com in the next few days and in upcoming issues of its print partner Muscular Development Magazine.

Steve Blechman states, “Calum represents the classic physique of the past like Arnold, Sergio Oliva, and Frank Zane. Most of the leading physiques of the 70’s and early 80’s era had that look. In the last 25 years we haven’t had a classic physique dominate the sport since the eight time Mr. Olympia Lee Haney (1984-1991.) Lee was the biggest and most classically proportioned bodybuilder of his time! Calum’s genetic potential for greatness is limitless, but it’s up to him to fulfill his dream as a bodybuilder, model, or an actor. Does Calum have what it takes to climb Mount Olympus? At the young age of 22, I believe he does. And that’s why I am proud to have him as part of our great team of MD athletes.”
