 Muscular Development Re-signs Jon Delarosa

We are pleased to announce that IFBB Pro Bodybuilder Jon Delarosa has re-signed with Muscular Development!

After several near misses and a win at the 2009 Junior Nationals, Jon earned his IFBB Pro Card by taking the heavyweight class at the 2011 NPC USA’s.

As a pro, Jon has competed twice at the New York Pro and twice at the Toronto Pro Supershow. He’s never placed out of the top five – not bad considering the stellar caliber of the line-ups he’s competed against.

When asked how he felt about re-signing with MD, Delarosa said, “I’m honored and excited to be a part of the best magazine in the World! Steve Blechman has a good eye for picking out talent when he sees it, and I’m happy I’m still part of the group of elite athletes that he believes to be the best in the sport! I’m excited for the upcoming season as I have a few shows I’ll be competing in. I am planning on presenting a bigger and better-conditioned physique to Arnold Rio, the New York Pro, and the Toronto Pro SuperShow. The goal is to hit the Olympia stage this year, so I’m looking forward to sharing my journey with everyone right here at MD!”

As for Steve Blechman’s thoughts on Jon, he had this to say, “I am proud to have Jon as part of Team MD over the years. I have seen him mature and grow as a professional. Jon is a gifted bodybuilder with superior shape, shoulder-to-hip ratio, round delts, flaring quads, big arms, and a tiny waist. He has all the potential in the world moving forward. He just has to make it happen! He has youth on his side. 2014 will be a great year for Jon if he combines his v-taper, fine lines, great overall structure, and gets in the best shape of his life with hard, grainy, freaky condition. I believe he can!”

It’s been a great few months for Jon. Having recently married IFBB Figure Pro Swann Cardot, he’s also opened a supplement store with her, Nutrition Locker. To top it all off, he also re-signed with supplement giant MHP Nutrition. Not a bad few months for such a young pro!

We’ll be following Jon all year long as he preps and works his way to the 2014 Olympia stage. For now, you can keep up with Jon by following his blog at the MD website
