Why Is YouTube So Beneficial for Fitness and Bodybuilders?

Limitless Bodybuilding

Social media tip: Definitely start an OnlyFans account … if you are female, lol! Sorry fellas, but OnlyFans is here to stay, and now that you can see your neighbor’s wife, daughter, maid, and grandma all doing their own thing naked, and sometimes together – this has blown up and taken the world by storm. It’s considered the fast track to easy money these days, and all your favorite fitness competitors have them. Some are not nude; many are not only nude but are getting down to business. There is a way for bodybuilders to make money on there, but it falls into the often-ridiculed “Gay4pay” category that usually involves full-frontal nudity and “self-gratification.”

So if that's not your cup of tea, then you are going to want to stick to YouTube, the largest and most dominant way to make a name for yourself if you have something to say!

Making a Name for Yourself

YouTube hosts the most significant number of videos available in a single place on the Internet. This makes it the number one source for video material for many people. Think about how many times you have wanted to learn how to do something and just watched a YouTube video?

YouTube is owned by Google, which regularly promotes it in its search engine results. When a keyword is searched on Google, it automatically suggests any related videos; this has been majorly successful for Blackstone Labs, our products, and our athletes. This is why I strive to get some sort of video out EVERY DAY!! What can you do to showcase your talents and get people to pay attention to you? Here are some things to keep in mind about YouTube and suggestions to increase your visibility:

1. YouTube has many music videos: Do you have a talent, play an instrument, have a singing voice? Use it to get your content out!

2. YouTube has many funny videos: Are you funny? Start a podcast or vlog series!

3. Sometimes YouTube has full movies: look at Generation Iron, they have now moved on to Netflix, all from the first video that was supposed to be a modern-day “Pumping Iron.” Side note: if you haven’t watched the famous documentary on Arnold Schwarzenegger, then I’m sorry but you aren’t really a true bodybuilding fan. I used to fall asleep watching it every night in my early career.

4. Easily accessible: YouTube is easily accessible from a computer, TV, tablet, or smartphone. Its “ease of use” approach makes it accessible to people of all sorts of technical competence; I use YouTube nonstop!

5. The content is user-generated: YouTube focuses on user-generated content, unlike TV. Anybody can upload a video on YouTube and make it available to the entire world; you don't need anything special for credentials!

6. Many celebrities, such as musicians, have official YouTube channels and have fans following their channels; you can often be discovered this way accidentally!

7. YouTube has rare and obscure footage available … content that is pretty hard to find. This fact makes it a popular source for people looking for rare or historical footage. You can find the most random bodybuilding and related content there. Again, this is what you want to get lumped into.

8. YouTube's interface is translated into many languages. This makes it easier to use for those who don't understand English. So no matter where you are and what country you are in, you can get your message out!

9. Server's capabilities: Back when YouTube first launched its website, it wasn't very affordable to have a server capable of holding many videos. YouTube servers made it easier for anyone with video content to get wired to the Internet.

10. It’s great for wasting time: Most people like to procrastinate and waste time instead of facing their life problems. YouTube is an excellent tool for diverting somebody’s attention to less severe themes. More people are watching videos here than actually doing work!

11. Videos are very easy to upload and release: YouTube made it very easy to upload a video and release it to the public. Before YouTube, this was an expensive and non-trivial task.

King of the Fitness World

So with all that info, what does that mean for you? Look at Rich Piana. He was essentially the king of the fitness world because of YouTube. I have never seen anyone blow up how he did and then turn it into his supplement company, 5% Nutrition. He said a lot of crazy and sometimes very dumb shit, but people loved his “realness” and flocked to him like moths to a flame! He turned it into many millions of dollars. And this is a guy who was never going to make it “pro” with his physique by the IFBB standards, but he had longer lines than even the great Ronnie Coleman at the shows. He started a whole movement. Love him or hate him, Rich Piana used social media to make huge money.

Are you a trainer? Start filming “how-to” videos. That is the key to optimization on YouTube. I start many of our videos that way, such as “How to do a proper squat?” or “How to bodybuild on a budget,” etc. You can become the next guru if your meetings are searched the right way. Many guys are just taking their iPhones with a tripod and filming themselves train and then editing it up for their personal YouTube content! Can you start a simple podcast on your thoughts on nutrition, steroids, training, and industry gossip?

Using YouTube to Make Money

Whatever it is, there is a place for it on YouTube. How have I used it to make money?

I have videos on every product I make, the science behind it, and why you should take it. I also do education-type training videos so people can learn how to train the right way for their specific gains. Maybe you just want to be a fitness celebrity, so you get a cheap camera, point it on your face all day, and just make vlogs. Look, it gets a little awkward at first walking around with a camera in your face, but people are doing it.

Just how powerful can you be on there? I will give you two examples. One of my athletes, Kenny KO, barely posts on his Instagram, but I pay him to have a five-second Blackstone commercial at the beginning of his videos with his discount code. Just doing that, at the very least, covers all we pay him in salary! Just from that five-second commercial because so many people watch him. Another great one is Wes Watson. Wes has a unique channel because he started his page as soon as he got out of jail, writing about general penitentiary life. Raw and real, he used fitness and bodybuilding to pass the time while he was locked up, and he majorly turned his life around to now be making a killing. I couldn't be more proud of him! When he first got out, he wrote me and said, “I loved reading about you in prison, and I would love to join your team!”

I said hell yes, and sent him a bunch of free stuff!

Well, guess what? I was the one who gave him a chance, and he stayed loyal to me through thick and thin, promoting the brand on there, and now he’s a fucking star selling workout plans and has a massive following of almost 400k subscribers. He came out with nothing, and now he’s driving in freaking Lambos and a Rolls-Royce – motivating others on just what can be done if you put your mind to it and fucking try! So if any of these platforms I have written about don’t speak to you, then freaking figure it out because this shit is expensive, and it’s a great way to make money by doing what you love.

This is it for my social media writings. I just released a YouTube video about how multiple doctors said if I did not make some major changes, I would die. Going forward, we will be switching gears and writing about taking care of your insides; so the outside can keep thriving! I am so excited for this next phase!
