2022 Indy Pro Finals Report - The Boogieman Wins Big at Indy Pro! IFBB Pro Indy Pro Finals Results & Wrap

A year ago when Blessing Awodibu made his debut here with a third place finish, haters wrote him off as ‘all hype’ and an ‘Instagram bodybuilder.’ Tonight he showed his true potential by fending off a deadly Charles ‘The Definition’ Griffen to score the 2022 Indy Pro title. Griffen was thick and dense and had a crazy thick back, but Blessing was taller, wider, and thanks to drastically improved legs, displayed a serious X-frame. Precontest favorite Justin Rodriguez had faded since the Arnold Classic and Boston Pro and was edged out by veteran and fellow New Yorker Maxx Charles, who had tightened up considerably from the Judging just a few hours before. Rounding out the top 5 was Brent Swansen in his Pro debut, who earned that spot with insane condition and vascularity.

In the 212 division, my pick to win, the tank-like Noel Adame, had to concede the win to local man Bryan Balzano, who also carries plenty of mass but has more pleasing shape and structure. Newcomer Emmanuel Rodriguez from Miami by way of Cuba locked down the third place spot with excellent structure and clear cuts from head to toe. Yumon Eaton showed vast potential in fourth place with what I feel was the best shape in his class. Tighter conditioning next time and I am certain he will move up. In fifth was another new guy on the scene, Abdullah Alsaif from Ohio, and I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of as he has very pleasing shape.

And last but not least, this was the first year women’s Bodybuilding was added to this event. It came down to two very good physiques that embodied the ideals of the division and were both in great shape, Theresa Ivancik from Pennsylvania and Indy’s own Stephanie Flesher. In the end Theresa got the nod from the judging panel.
