SHAUN CLARIDA WINS THE 212 DIVISION
Muscular Development 2020 Mr Olympia Judging Results
Big Ramy might win this Mr. Olympia. I said it. Defending champ Brandon Curry looked good when he first came out (at nearly 11pm), but faded fast. Additionally, he didn’t seem to have brought his legs up from last year. As he spilled over with a film of water, they became a liability. Phil brought the condition he’s known for, but as he grew fatigued from endless comparisons, his midsection began to bulge and wash out. It wasn’t nearly what we saw in 2018, but it was a distraction.
Ramy brought his best tonight. He was as good or better than 2017 when he took second. Huge and ripped, and he never faded. Hadi Choopan wasn’t quite as impressive as last year, as his conditioning was off that by a hair. William Bonac was excellent at the start of judging but also faded. Rounding out the top 6 was Akim Williams, a giant beast with shape. Here’s my best guess/prediction of how they might place:
1.Big Ramy
2.Phil Heath
3.Brandon Curry
4.Hadi Choopan
5.William Bonac
6.Akim Williams.
Keep in mind they will be judged again tomorrow night. Based on how they improve or not, much of this could change.
