Roelly Winklaar Takes a Win!

All eyes were on Essa Obaid going into the woschpro-winklaar-wins-open  2013 Wings of Strength held over the weekend in Chicago. Coming in as last year's champ, many expected Essa to show up and take the victory, but that would not be the case.

Roelly Winklaar showed up with a combination of size and condition that simply could not be matched. Lionel Beyeke from France took the second place spot behind him, but his lack of conditioning made if more of a battle between Beyeke and Bill Wilmore for second and third than a true battle for the win. Obaid was relegated to a fourth place finish.

Newcomer Justin Compton had to be the surprise of the show. He put on some noticeable size since getting his IFBB Pro Card not even a year ago at Nationals. Given that he took fifth is a line-up like this, Justin has firmly established himself as one to watch.
