Inside MD's August Issue

Muscular Development Magazine's August 2013 Issue

If bodybuilding had its own seven wonders of thethumbnail iron world, Dexter Jackson would be one of them. Dexter is an amazing bodybuilder. No other pro today has done so much with what he had to work with from the start. The Blade first stepped on a bodybuilding stage as a 140-pound bantamweight, and went on to build enough size, close to 100 additional pounds of muscle on a 5’6” frame, to win the sport’s ultimate title, the Mr. Olympia, as well as tie Flex Wheeler’s all-time record of four Arnold Classic wins. Dexter will be armed for battle as he strives to do the seemingly impossible this September in Las Vegas – regain that coveted Sandow trophy he claimed in the fall of 2008.

Dexter is enjoying tremendous success, and I’m proud to have him on Team MD. When Dexter told me that he was going to compete in the Masters Olympia in 2012, I was psyched. When he won it age 43, the same year he placed fourth in the Mr. Olympia, I was like….holy crap! Dexter is telling Father Time: “Hasta la vista, chump!” When Dexter Won his fourth Arnold Classic title this year, tying Flex’s record, it was not only an incredible accomplishment but also history in the making between two MD athletes. Dexter trained harder than he ever trained before with MD’s IFBB Pro Guru George Farah to oversee his diet and nutrition prep. The Dexter Jackson who walked onstage last year in Vegas was much improved, and is now looking to move up the ranks.

Dexter Jackson has won close to 20 prodex-newissue shows including the Mr. Olympia, and he’s yet to tear muscle. Clearly he’s not just training hard – he’s training smart. In “The Jackson 5! The Blade’s 5 Guidelines for Monster Guns.”, Dexter talks about his arm-training principles that have pumped his arms up over the years to the monster guns that have taped out at 22.5 inches.

The rest of MD this month is packed to the binder as usual – with all the latest cutting-edge research and information on bodybuilding by the industry experts and insiders who make it all happen. See you next month!
