Classic Physique Star Chris Bumstead - Heir to the Classic Throne?

Next MD Cover

With his astounding blend of mass, shape and symmetry, Chris Bumstead is a man on a mission to create a seismic shift in bodybuilding. And here is a man who has all the right equipment, and in the right places, to get the job done. By staying true to his ideals of aesthetics, shape and condition— with a killer vacuum pose— the 22-year-old Canadian has risen to the top of newly created Classic Physique division. Chris, who was runner-up at the Classic Physique Mr. Olympia in 2017, is an industry leader in the movement away from bloated midsections with a greater appreciation for aesthetics and leaner, more streamlined physiques.

Is Chris Bumstead destined to be the next king of the classic division? “At 22, I can make a hell of a lot of improvements in just one year,” he tells MD in an exclusive interview, “Heir to the Classic Throne.” “If I was that close to winning this time, I am certain that within a year or two, I can get the title and hold it. If I work hard enough, it can and will happen.”

With sweeping, deeply sliced-up quads and hanging hams, Zane Watson has some of the best wheels in the 212 division. Zane’s legs, along with excellent shape, proportion and crisp condition, carried him to fifth place in a stacked lineup of the 2017 Arnold Classic 212 division— where the competitors included Hadi Choopan, Jose Raymond, Guy Cisternino, and Charles Dixon, all of whom are known for their tremendous lower body development. Zane Watson is training hard to be the best 212 pro in the IFBB Pro League, and he won’t stop until he gets there. Will the new Zane Watson package be enough to upset some of the biggest names in the 212 division? Learn more in “In-Zane Wheels! How Canadian 212 star Zane Watson Blasts Legs.”
