The Anabolic Doctors Are In!

Steroid Experts George Touliatos, MD and Thomas O'Connor, MD

Muscular Development gives our audience the good, the bad and the ugly— as long as it is scientifically sound. Drugs and supplementation to help achieve bodybuilding goals safely and effectively are part of our “no bull” formula, and we are proud to announce that we now have the only two medical doctors in the world who specialize in the treatment of current and former steroid users and are legitimate experts in the subject, Dr. Thomas O’Connor and our newest contributor, Dr. George Touliatos.

Thomas O’Connor, MD widely known as “The Anabolic Doc,” is the world’s first physician to openly and ethically provide medical care for people using anabolic-androgenic steroids (AAS) and other performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs). He became the Anabolic Doc in 2003, after he cared for a man suffering with heart disease secondary to AAS use in a hospital emergency room in Hartford, Connecticut. That historic moment lead to an epiphany that changed his life. He realized that other good physicians were unable to understand these men, the agents being used and lacked the compassion necessary to heal the millions of people suffering the ill effects of AAS/PEDs use. Dr. O’Connor coined the phrase, “anabolic recovery medicine” as he worked as a resident physician healing men on AAS in his clinic. Dr. O’Connor is also a brother in iron. At 47 years old, he bench-pressed 505 pounds in competition. The author of America on Steroids: A Time to Heal, O’Connor writes the popular Anabolic Doc column each month in MD.

George Touliatos, MD is an author, lecturer and champion competitive bodybuilder with four national titles and is an expert in medical prevention regarding PED use in sports. Dr. Touliatos specializes in medical biopathology and is the medical associate of Orthobiotiki.gr and Medihall.gr, Age Management and Preventive Clinics in Athens, Greece. Heis the author of four Greek books on bodybuilding, has extensively developed articles for www.anabolic.org and has participated in several seminars across Greece and Cyprus, making numerous TV and radio appearances, doing interviews in print and online. Dr. Touliatos’ new column, Dr. Testosterone, will debut in the February 2019 issue of MD.

Both doctors were contributors to Bill Llewellyn’s Anabolics, 11th edition, a comprehensive guide considered by many to be the bible in terms of accurate and up-to-date science and information on the gamut of performance drugs used by professional athletes all the way down to the average lifter.

MD is proud to have both these brilliant men on our editorial team to provide the absolute best and most accurate science and medicine-based information available for those who have used steroids, are using them, are thinking about using them or simply want the honest facts on the subject with no judgment, political bias or hysteria. The doctors are in, and they’re ready to treat your need for the truth on performance-enhancing drugs!
