The real legends of the East Coast Mecca are so much more than a strong and powerful physique. The real legends have a heart that shines a light in our little gym and everywhere else this legend goes.
We lost one of these extraordinarily rare souls on October 6, 2021 with the passing of George Peterson – a true East Coast Mecca Legend. George had an amazing physique, there is no question there, but that was the least of what made this man great.
George’s incredible physique was dwarfed by his warmth and kindness that touched everyone in the gym. George had a smile that could light up any room and a smile bigger than the enormous arms busting out of his sleeves. He never looked down, angry, or burdened by the life of a professional bodybuilder. Even in the depths of extreme dieting and the most hardcore training, George had the time to smile and chat with everyone he passed.
George was truly a LEGEND and his smile will live on in our hearts forever.
