Long-Term Clenbuterol Cycle

Health Concerns With Asthma

Q: I am planning on using clen long term, like a week on and 8-10 days off with a dose of 20-60mcg. So what does the doc think, health-wise? I have asthma and when using clen I don’t need to use my inhaler treatment, which has a corticosteroid in it. I do believe they aren't good for health too.

A: Clenbuterol use can easily saturate the beta-2 receptors and become accustomed to it. Therefore we tend to interrupt the use every two days (on/off). Otherwise, within a two-week time frame, we will have to increase the dose, and that will bring more side effects (heart palpitations, occipital headache, as a result of (due to) blood pressure). Moreover, clenbuterol is less effective than a salbutamol inhaler against bronchospasm; it works through systemic circulation. Unlike salbutamol, that reaches the bronchi receptors immediately and provides relief. Corticosteroid beta-2 stimulants are effective to fight inflammation in the upper respiratory system. On the other hand, clenbuterol HCL has superior effect in terms of beta-oxidation compared to salbutamol, that has a lesser effect on systemic blood pressure. Yet, if you want to continuously use clenbuterol, you should be aware of the potential use of ketotifen, which can unblock beta-2 receptors that become easily saturated with time.
